I’ve been a youth hostel warden, a post woman, an Equal Opportunities Officer and now I’m a teacher. You can see that I didn’t take the direct path into teaching, but took the scenic route and along the way chose the road to Munich, where I now live. I teach at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Volkshochschule and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität and I recently completed a Masters degree in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics. I don’t like planning too much when I teach – there’s always something that jumps out in the lesson to use and exploit. And I do like having fun in the classroom!
